Hi, I’m Sandra and happy to meet you!

For almost two decades, I have been working internationally as a somatic therapist and coach with a continuously evolving holistic approach. Being trusted by hundreds of clients and being able to accompany them on their way to enhance wellbeing, connection and personal freedom makes me feel deeply humbled and proud. Meeting courageous people who wish to shake off old patterns of beliefs and behaviour and support them finding a happier place in life fulfills me with deep joy and gratitude.

Encouraging and empowering others to thrive means reminding them how to feel and communicate their needs and wishes, navigate through crisis and trauma towards taking responsibility, and nourish lasting relationships. This deeply rooted desire for communication, connection, and personal freedom to live in accordance with one’s values and dreams has always driven me. And the beauty of my work is discovering new variants and varieties through my clients’ eyes every day.

Growing up in a small village in Northern Germany in the 1980s, I witnessed people around me being unhappy, lonely and frustrated, and suffering silently. Whilst the world seemed so exciting, rich, and inviting to me, I also felt the limiting struggles and pains around me. I had a little freedom fighter in me who believed change must be possible. Is possible. This burning desire fuelled my search to finding ways to initiate change. Not knowing how to turned out to be an excellent starting point. I was curious and hungry to learn.

At university, I tried to work out why people wouldn’t do the obvious: dare to change. My mind was in full spin when studied Sociology and Psychology, and began to explore the reciprocal dynamics of the individuals interacting in society and vice versa. I lived in Leipzig before I moved to Berlin, where I would stay for almost 20 years. Packed with my Master's Degree, I was still searching for a way to make life better, to have an impact. I began to understand: Talking and thinking alone doesn’t provide a way out. So I kept looking for alternative ways to encourage and empower people. Some years in journalism, tought me the art of story telling, and the impact of changing the narrative and the perspective. There must be more than the mind…something was still missing.

And then one day, I was in the right place at the right time. Was it a coincidence, fate, meant to be or being lucky? One night in Berlin, I met someone who introduced me to somatic bodywork. Soon after, I met their teacher. And this one hour changed my life. I knew, in every cell of my body: that’s it. For the first time, I felt seen, understood, heard and held. That’s what I was looking for. Connection, communication, compassion, change. A very direct and immediate, caring, attentive and empowering apporach to make change happen, to integrate the past and focus on the future.

After 4 years of very structured and guided learning, I achieved the Certified Grinberg Method Practitioner Diploma (2012). Over time, as with all good approaches and techniques, you also come across their limitations. Plus my natural desire to learn, expand and enrich always challenges me to look further. So I keep learning about various ways of personal growth and healing. I wouldn’t want to limit myself or my clients’ journey. I enhanced my work as a Pantarei Approach Practitioner (2017), integrated several coaching and non-violent communication strategies, and enriched my work with the wisdom of yoga and learnings from my TCM acupuncturist. I learned how to with trauma by studying the online course “Trauma First Aid” with Dr Peter Levine (2020), and reading lots and lots of literature. And recently, I completed a Neuroscience Coaching Course (2025), which underpins my rich experience with the latest scientific findings. But most of all, I learn from my clients. They are my most impressive and amazing teachers. All of this merges into my work today.

Today, I live with my teenage son, our extended family, and our feisty 4-legged friend ‘Elvis the Dog’ in Oxfordshire, grateful to be deeply rooted in Berlin, London and Portugal, and to be able to share my experience and knowledge with beautiful people all across Europe. It’s humbling to work with curious, creative, and courageous people and learn about their lives, experiences and dreams. My dream became true: Today I have a profession where I can help to make this world a little bit better.
